The ASA supports five charities in Shanghai and rural China. Our aim is to help make a difference to disadvantaged people in China. We also undertake regular fundraising and donate funds to worthy causes.

Funds raised throughout the year, and particularly from the Shanghai Melbourne Cup Gala Luncheon, help to support our Charity Partners and the great work they do.

You too can make a difference – by making a cash donation to the ASA's Community Outreach program or by attending our charity events. We also offer volunteer opportunities that allow you to get really 'hands on' in the community.

Get involved in activities like the Knitting Group which donates much needed clothing and blankets to families in rural China; supervise a play room or help out with some administration work; volunteer some of your time in the Children's Hospital, teach English at a migrant school; or even by collecting hotel soaps, shaving kits and shampoos which are donated to our charities – all of these are rewarding and worthwhile activities that can help to improve the lives of others in need.
